For Our Family, SVFF More Than Just a Music Festival

It was August, 2012 when I first walked through the gates at the Shelter Valley Folk Festival. To say that it was love at first sight would be an understatement. As I took in the spectacular beauty of the festival site (also known as the Henkel Family Lavender Farm), I finally realized what people meant when they spoke so reverently about the “rolling hills of Northumberland”.

Homemade Jam Brings Music to Cobourg Beach

Friday's Homemade Jam was a great success drawing in many people who came to support our three young performers, Ellen Torrie, Mitchell Jackson, and Todd Jaxon. In addition to friends and family, we had many visitors stop by the lion's pavillion to enjoy frree pizza and listen to Ellen, Mitchell and Todd performing some of their original music. The Shelter Valley Folk Festival would like to thank everyone who showed up to the event and our amazing performers for sharing their music with us.
